Dr. Rouel Vergara obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of the East, Manila Philippines and attained his General Dentist Certificate from the Australian Dental Council (ADC) in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Vergara completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics (UK) in 2021 and recently completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry – Aesthetics and Restorative (UK). Dr. Vergara is a Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA), International College of Dentists (FICD), International College of Continuing Dental Education (FICCDE) and a life member of the Asian Academy of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Vergara’s fields of interest in dentistry are minimally invasive dentistry, digital dentistry, endodontics, dental aesthetics, prosthodontics and digital orthodontics.

Rouel is the Principal Dentist of New Leaf Dentists based in Central Coast, New South Wales (NSW) Australia. His primary focus is providing patient-centred dental care. Dr. Vergara is a member of various dental organisations and societies, both locally and internationally. He is one of the founding members and currently the President of the Filipino Australian Dental Association (FADA). He has been appointed as one of the Australian Dental Association (NSW Branch) Councillors for 2024-2026. Dr. Vergara is the Treasurer for the ADANSW Central Coast Study Group. He is actively involved in the Australian Dental Association (NSW) Education Committee, as well as a mentor for the ADA mentoring program. He was the Past President of Rotary Club Umina Beach and is currently serving as the Director for International Service. Dr. Vergara actively provides continuing professional development lectures and workshops for various dental schools, groups, societies and organisations in the Asia Pacific and Africa. Rouel lives in the Central Coast with his wife, three kids and a Groodle.
