Dr Ehsan Mellati is a leading specialist periodontist based in Sydney, with a clinical practice dedicated exclusively to periodontics and dental implantology. He is the founder of Precision Periodontics, a state-of-the-art periodontal and implant clinic, and the co-founder of Chatswood Dental Specialists—one of Australia’s largest multidisciplinary dental specialist centres, bringing together 15 well-respected dental specialists across four disciplines under one roof.

Dr Mellati holds an honorary clinical lecturer position at the University of Sydney and is actively involved in the teaching and mentorship of postgraduate students in periodontics and implant dentistry across several programs. His postgraduate research, which explored hard and soft tissue healing around immediate implants, was recognised with the prestigious ITI Research Grant.

He has authored multiple publications in respected international peer-reviewed journals and is a sought-after speaker, regularly presenting lectures and running continuing professional development (CPD) courses for dental professionals. Dr Mellati is committed to advancing clinical education and supporting the development of undergraduate and post-graduate students, and graduate dentists.  

He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), and a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA).
