Event Details

Join A/Prof Christopher Ho and Dr David Attia for this intensive two-day hands-on cadaveric program designed for clinicians seeking to advance their surgical expertise in implant dentistry, soft tissue management, and full-arch rehabilitation. Utilizing fresh-frozen cadaver specimens, participants gain a unique opportunity to refine surgical skills with true anatomical realism that cannot be replicated in conventional training models.

The course provides comprehensive training across implant placement, soft tissue grafting, sinus augmentation, guided bone regeneration (GBR), and full-arch immediate loading protocols. Emphasis is placed on biologically driven treatment planning, surgical precision, and the integration of hard and soft tissue techniques to achieve predictable, aesthetic, and long-term outcomes.

Participants will perform a wide range of procedures under expert guidance, including sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, connective tissue grafting, and full-arch implant placement using All-on-4® / All-on-X concepts. Through a combination of focused lectures, live demonstrations, and extensive hands-on surgical sessions, clinicians will develop confidence in managing complex implant cases and complications.

This course is ideal for dentists aiming to elevate their clinical outcomes in advanced implant and reconstructive procedures.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Implant Surgery

  • Apply prosthetically driven 3D implant planning principles
  • Perform implant placement with optimal positioning, angulation, and primary stability
  • Execute flap designs for both straightforward and complex implant cases
  • Identify and navigate critical anatomical structures through cadaveric dissection
  • Recognise and manage intraoperative complications

Soft Tissue Grafting

  • Diagnose soft tissue deficiencies and plan appropriate augmentation strategies
  • Harvest connective tissue grafts using multiple techniques
  • Perform:
    • Connective tissue grafts
    • Free gingival grafts
    • Peri-implant soft tissue volume augmentation
  • Optimise flap design and suturing techniques for improved healing and aesthetics

Sinus Augmentation

  • Understand indications for sinus lift procedures
  • Perform lateral window and crestal sinus lift techniques
  • Safely elevate and manage the sinus membrane
  • Select appropriate grafting materials and protocols
  • Manage complications associated with sinus augmentation

Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)

  • Diagnose hard tissue deficiencies and plan ridge augmentation
  • Perform horizontal and vertical GBR techniques
  • Utilise membranes and graft materials effectively
  • Apply principles of space maintenance and primary closure
  • Manage complications such as membrane exposure

Full-Arch Rehabilitation (All-on-4® / All-on-X)

  • Understand indications and patient selection for full-arch implant therapy
  • Plan implant positioning for immediate loading protocols
  • Perform full-arch implant placement using axial and tilted implants
  • Achieve primary stability required for immediate function
  • Understand integration of surgical and prosthetic workflows

Surgical Principles & Technique

  • Demonstrate atraumatic tissue handling and microsurgical principles
  • Select appropriate surgical instruments, biomaterials, and suturing materials
  • Develop efficient and predictable surgical workflows
  • Integrate hard and soft tissue management into comprehensive treatment planning

Clinical Application

  • Translate cadaveric surgical experience into clinical practice with confidence
  • Improve aesthetic and functional outcomes in implant dentistry
  • Increase capability in managing complex cases
  • Reduce complications through enhanced anatomical understanding
